Our hospitality team is a small, but passionate group. They help make sure our guests receive the highest quality experiences possible. They are a true extension of our family and are proud ambassadors of our wines.

Janice Adamowicz (Boswell)

Janice has been an integral part of our team at Bacigalupi since 2017, her appreciation for interesting wines, never ending smile and cheerful sense of humor as just a few things that we love about her.

WHY DID YOU GET INTO WINE?

My cousins own a Domaine (winery) in Burgundy and my father sells French oak barrels and bungs to wineries all around the US so I spent a lot of time when I was younger trying wine and learning about it. After I graduated from college I moved from my hometown in Marin County to Sonoma and I could feel the wine industry calling my name. I did harvests in France, South Africa and New Zealand and now have settled back down in Sonoma to take over my dad’s business, The Boswell Company

Jennell Shahhosseini

Jennell has been a smiling face here at the Bacigalupi Tasting room for over 7 years.

After a decade of teaching first grade, Jennell became interested in wine with the help of Santa Rosa Junior College’s wine program. After taking many classes, she wanted to up her wine game and, on a whim, dropped off her resume. Jennell who had no previous wine experience, but plenty of passion jumped in head first, hosting guests and sharing her love of wine with others.

Five years and two children later, Jennell works on the weekends, so she can occasionally escape her rambunctious, but sweet family.

Thank you Jennell for always greeting our guests with your contagious smile!

Paige Wilson

Paige joined the Bacigalupi team about 4 years ago. New to the area, she wanted to immerse herself in the Sonoma County community and learn a bit more about wine. Though generations of her family primarily grew pears, they also now grow Pinot Gris in the Sacramento delta. Paige’s interest in wine grew as she worked in the tasting room and she took advantage of as many learning experiences in the industry as possible. Paige primarily works as a school counselor and in her free time she finds herself hiking, trying new recipes, or in the tasting room on weekends. She feels lucky to wind down from a day of counseling with a nice glass or two of Bacigalupi pinot!

Ashley Shippey

Ashley grew up in Healdsburg and comes from a family that has been in the wine industry for over 25 years. She went to Long Beach State for college, but moved back to Sonoma County shortly after and started working in the wine industry (public relations and various tasting rooms).  She credits her dad for helping develop her passion for wine and sharing his knowledge of the wine industry with her. She currently resides back in Healdsburg, after having lived in San Francisco for 9 years.  In her free time, she enjoys exploring new wineries throughout the county, rooting for her Bay Area sport teams, enjoying the many fabulous restaurants in town and most importantly hanging with her family and childhood friends (two of those girls being Nicci and Katey – fun fact).

Cindy Butner
Cindy says, “Working at Bacigalupi is my fun job! Wine is all about sharing, and the couple of days a week I’m in the tasting room, I get to do just that. I love meeting so many interesting people and comparing notes on food and wine pairings.” After decades of working for high-tech and news organizations and founding and publishing two local magazines, Cindy is launching two podcasts this year. The first one, Selling My Script, will drop this spring. It’s about a screenplay she wrote set in Wine Country.
